Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a convergence apparatus having a simple structure free from the restriction of convergence due to a pupillary distance by eliminating the necessity for inclining a main body, by providing an inverse prism lens before and behind a lens of every kind within a visual field window so as to bend the line of sight of an examinee to the inside. CONSTITUTION:When an eyechart is placed at a distance to perform measurement, the open visual field window 81 of a tarret plate 8 is rotationally inserted in a visual field window 2 and prisms 15a, 16a are rotated at a position where the directions of the prism base bottoms thereof are overlapped in opposite directions and the motors of the respective prisms are rotationally controlled so as to stop at a position becoming zero prism diopter by synthesis. When the eyechart is plated at a short distance B to perform measurement, the turret plate 8 rotates and a prism lens 80 is inserted in the visual field window 2 and fixed in a direction wherein a line of sight is bent to the outside. Members 15, 16 are respectively rotated in opposite directions simultaneously with the rotation of the turret plate 8 and stops at a position where the directions of the base bottoms of the rotary prisms 15a, 16a are inward and the same prism diopter as the prism lens 80 of the turret plate 8 is obtained, by the synthesis of said prisms.
