Abstract

PURPOSE:To highly accurately switch a signal range by inserting a voltage restricting circuit between an input terminal of a voltage dividing circuit and an analog switch. CONSTITUTION:The voltage restricting circuit consists of constant current elements 11, 12, rectifying diodes 13, 14 and voltage restricting DC voltage sources +V, -V. When analog switches 15, 16 are respectively turned on and off, an input voltage can be accurately transmitted to an output at the voltage dividing ratio of 1 through an amplifier 19 if the input voltage is included within the normal operation range of the analog switches. When the input voltage exceeds the operation range and goes to a high voltage, the switches 15, 16 are respectively turned off and on and a voltage attenuated at a voltage dividing ratio determined by the resistance values of resistors RA, RB is outputted to the output. When the voltage dividing ratio of the resistors RA, RB is set up to a high value, the range of the signal voltage with amplitude expanded by the magnification corresponding to the increment of the voltage dividing ratio can be highly accurately switched.
