Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the amt. of the used radioactive material adsorbent to be generated by decreasing the amt. of the radioactive material adsorbent to be packed into a basket toward the down stream in the pass direction of radioactive fluid. CONSTITUTION:The radioactive fluid supplied from an inlet nozzle 10c of a device 10 for packing the radioactive material adsorbent flows into the annulus passage between a column cylinder 10 and an outside pipe 11a of the basket. This radioactive fluid flows from a flow inlet 13a of the pipe 11a toward a flow outlet 13b of an inside pipe 11b and flows diametrally in the packed part of the radioactive material adsorbent 12. The radioactive material in the fluid is adsorbed by the adsorbent 12 at the time of flowing of the radioactive fluid and while the dose is thereby decreased, the fluid flows through the inside pipe 11b and is discharged as the radioactive fluid cleaned to a low dose from an outlet nozzle 10d. The amt. of the adsorbent 12 packed in the basket 11 is gradually decreased toward the down stream in the flow direction of the radioactive fluid and, therefore, the amt. of the used radioactive material adsorbent to be generated is decreased with substantially no degradation in the radioactive adsorption power over the entire part of the device 10.
