Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformize printing density, by mounting an applying energy operation means for operating the energy to be applied to a unit heat generator corresponding to the judged level signal from image data pattern judge means and a level selection means for performing the control of the supply of the current of a predetermined level to the unit heat generator.
CONSTITUTION: A pattern judge ROM 9 judges the number of the levels of the current supply time of a thermal head on the basis of the table which is preliminarily stored in the pattern judge ROM 9 and formed on reference to the dots arround a noticeable dot on the basis of the image data corresponding to 8 dots. Further, the energy applied to the thermal head corresponding to said number of the levels is operated by an applying energy operation ROM 12. Furthermore, the output from the pattern judge ROM 9 is inputted to a level selection means to output a current supply time control signal of the level corresponding to the reference dot around a dot to be recorded, and this control head data signal and the applying energy operation signal are supplied to a thermal head control circuit 17 to control the energy to be applied and current supply time to the thermal head 18.
