Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a magnetic alloy excellent in magnetic properties such as coercive force, by preparing a magnetic alloy by blending specific percentages of Cu, Fe, and Ge. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic alloy which has a composition consisting of, by weight, 20-85% Cu, 2-30% Fe, 2-30% Ge, and inevitable impurities and containing, if necessary, 0.2-15% of at least one or more elements among Cr, Mn, Co, and Ni and in which main phase is composed of an alloy phase consisting of tetragonal crystals of about 15-70mu is prepared. By this method, a casting alloy for magnet in which maximum energy product (BH)max is regulated to about 1-4MGOe (about 4KOe coercive force) can be obtained, and this alloy is useful for bond magnet.
