Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily obtain high picture quality by generating sub composite signals consisting of luminance signals and signals in which the phases of auxiliary carrier chrominance signals are inverted, adding/subtracting composite signals and the sub composite signals.

CONSTITUTION: The titled circuit is provided with a forming circuit 1 for composite signals (Y+C) 1 by the color television standard system of a video equipment 100, a forming circuit 2 for composite (sub) signals (Y-C) in which the phases of the chroma signals C of the video unit 100 are inverted, an input terminal 3 for the composite signals (Y+C) of a video equipment 200, an input terminal 4 for the sub signals (Y-C) of the video equipment 200, and adders 5 and 6. By adding the composite signals (Y+C) and the sub composite signals (Y-C) to the adder 5, the luminance signals Y can be obtained, and by taking a difference between the composite signals (Y+C) and the sub signals (Y-C) in the adder 6, the chroma signals C can be obtained. Thus, separation into the complete and original luminance signals Y and the chrominance signals C is attained, and they can be fetched.
