Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate mixing processing which displays the montage effect, etc., by superposing chrominance components of a different video upon luminance components of one video so as to mix variously luminance components and chrominance components optionally in quantity when mixing and processing TV signals. CONSTITUTION:Composite color TV signals VA and VB are supplied to input terminals 1 and 2 and Y-C separating circuits 3 and 4 separate them into digital luminance signals YA and YB, and digital chrominance signals CA and CB. Those signals YA and YB are multiplied by digital multipliers 5 and 6, whose outputs are added together by a digital adder 9. The signals CA and CB, on the other hand, are multiplied by digital multipliers 7 and 8, whose outputs are added together by a digital adder 10; and the outputs of the adders 9 and 10 are added together by a digital adder 11, which outputs a composite mixed color TV signal VAB from an output terminal 12. Thus, various mixing processes are facilitated.
