Abstract

PURPOSE:To quickly transmit carry by connecting two MOSFETs in series to the output of a carry signal look ahead CLA circuit and inputting the carry signal to the gate of the MOSFET on the output side and inputting a carry transmission control signal to the gate of the MOSFET on the power source or GND side. CONSTITUTION:A CLA circuit 2 is connected to a carry COUT8, and a NOR2 is used to convert carry transmission signals XC1-XC3 to one signal and this signal is inputted to the gate of an N-type MOSFET Q6 on the GND side, and a carry C0 is inputted to the gate of an N-type MOSFET Q5 in the output side. The other carrier COUT4 and COUT8 are operated similarly. When operation is started and signals XC2-XC4 go to the low level, a NOR3 outputs the high level to make an N-type MOSFET Q8 conductive. A carry COUT1 is inputted up to the carry COUT4 in parallel with this operation. Thus, the N-type MOSFET is made conductive, but a carry CIN13 is pulled down to the low level immediately at the time of arrival of carry because the MOSFET Q8 is first made conductive.
