Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust pH and remove malodor of ammonia and sulfur groups by adding a compound generating hydrogen ion as a deodorant to a condensate prepared by cooling and condensing vapor generated by heating photographic treatment waste liquid. CONSTITUTION:Photographic treatment waste liquid is heated, vaporized and concentrated, and the vapor generated therein is collected and condensed to prepare condensate. At that time, a deodorant (example: ascorbic acid) which can emit hydrogen ions to the condensate. As a result, pH can be adjusted and at the same time, malodors generated by ammonia and sulfur groups can be removed. The pollutive load of condensed water is, therefore, lessened, and can be discharged into rivers, sewer system.
