Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of operations such as voltage adjustment or the like and prevent water not yet electrolyzed being charged from an electrolytic cell by providing a timer circuit actuated by means of electric power supplied to both electrodes of the electrolytic cell, and keeping a breaker circuit inactivated for the time set by the timer circuit. CONSTITUTION:A space between a cathode electrode 2 and an anode electrode 3 in an electrolytic cell 1 facing each other is divided into a cathode chamber 5 and an anode chamber 6 with a membrane 4 for electrolysis, and a raw water feeding section 7 communicating with both electrodes is provided on one side, while a couple of electrolytic water drain pipes 8 and 9 communicating with respective electrolysis chamber separately are provided on the other side. An overcurrent sensing circuit 14 is connected with a power supply circuit 13 to supply both electrodes. A breaker circuit 15 actuated by the overcurrent sensing of said circuit 14 discontinues power supply to both electrodes. Further, in a timer circuit 16, the breaker circuit 15 which is actuated by the power supply to both electrodes for a preset period of time is inactivated. As a result, water not yet electrolyzed can be prevented from being fed from an electrolytic cell without the necessity of operations such as voltage adjustment or the like.
