PURPOSE:To raise the quality of a crushed sealed part by crushing the two ends of a circular glass bulb in a certain direction. CONSTITUTION:The parts to be sealed 2', 3' at the two close situated ends of a circular glass bulb 1 are heated with gas burners 12, 13 in the direction right across the plane incl. the bulb 1 to become fusion condition, and an electroconductive member 6 in connection with a filament crushed in the heating direction by the use of a jig is formed together with a crushed sealing part 10 at which part of an external conductor 7 is sealed. This provides crushed sealing parts of high quality with precise parallelism with sealing parts each other and with less residual stress.
