PURPOSE:To simplify a microprogram which realizes a virtual computer system by adding the action switching instruction information to a machine instruction analyzing memory which stores the start address of the microprogram that prescribes the action of each machine instruction based on the working specifications. CONSTITUTION:An execution mode register 4 stores a 1st information to identify whether the instructions carried out by a real computer belong to a real computer execution mode or a virtual computer execution mode. A machine instruction analyzing memory 3 stores a 2nd information which instructs the action switch for each machine instruction as well as the start address on a control memory 11 for a microprogram which prescribes the action of each machine instruction based on the working specifications. In the virtual computer execution mode the start address of the microprogram is qualified on the memory 11 by the 2nd information.
