Abstract

PURPOSE:To emit light in various forms and to perform optical indication by mixing light reflecting bodies into the core of an optical fiber at a specific part and reflecting irregularly light propagated in the core of the optical fiber by the light reflecting bodies. CONSTITUTION:The extremely small light reflecting bodies 4 are mixed with the optical fiber 1 consisting of the core 2 and clad 3 in a section of constant length and the section is considered to be an optical indication body 10. The light 5 which is propagated in the core 2 of the optical fiber is reflected irregularly by the light reflecting bodies 4 in the section of the optical indication body 10 and emitted out of the outer peripheral surface of the optical fiber 1 as indication light 6. Consequently, the optical indication body 10 becomes linear and is bent to emit light in various shapes, namely, perform the optical indication.
