Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable color detected value by detecting plural reference colors alternately and continuously and correcting variation in the color detected value of a color sensor with time. CONSTITUTION:Fruit 1 such as tangerines which are placed on a fruit reception body 4 constituting a fruit conveyor is conveyed to a color detection part 6 and color sensors 2A-2E detect their colors. The color sensors 2A-2E in use outputs colors between red and green as voltage values. A reference color sensor 3 is fitted on a support plate 7 where the color sensors 2A-2E are fitted and detects the color of the output periphery of a cylinder 21 through a hole 17. The outer periphery of the cylinder 21 is divided into two and painted in red and green, and the cylinder 21 rotates at a constant speed, so the reference color sensor 3 outputs voltage values corresponding to the red and green alternately. Those voltages value are inputted to an arithmetic means which is not shown in a figure and utilized to correct the outputs of the sensors 2A-2E.
