Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a treating liquid to be applied to the surface of a rubber elastomer and effective in preventing the mutual sticking of staked elastomer and improving the appearance of the elastomer, by dispersing or emulsifying an aqueous dispersion of an ionomer in an emulsion-type silicone-based surface- treating liquid. CONSTITUTION:0.1-5pts.wt. of an aqueous dispersion of an ionomer is dispersed or emulsified in an emulsion-type silicone-based surface-treating liquid. The ionomer is preferably spherical particles having particle diameter of <=0.5mu, especially <=0.2mu and its amount is preferably 0.5-2.0pts.wt.

Conventionally, molded products made of elastic materials, such as bearing seals or oil seals, have caused problems when stacked or packaged because they adhere to each other and cause blocking. For this reason, post-treatment to prevent adhesion is required, and countermeasures have been taken by applying a surface treatment liquid or chemically changing the surface with chemicals.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the former method of applying a surface treatment liquid, the surface treatment liquid obtained by dissolving silicone oil and a surfactant in an organic solvent, or the emulsion type silicone oil surface treatment Although the liquid is more effective as an aesthetic treatment agent than as an anti-blocking agent, it is not able to sufficiently suppress the adhesive force, and the surface of the elastic body may leak due to liquid components such as silicone oil, causing poor appearance. In addition, the latter chemical treatment chemicals reduce the coefficient of friction by chemically treating the surface, such as by converting diene rubber into chloride, and harden only the surface, resulting in blocking. It is intended to prevent
In order to obtain the desired appropriate surface roughness and surface hardening, there remain very difficult problems in adjusting the chemical blend ratio and processing time, and it is also expensive, and the residual halogen can lead to rust in composite products containing metal. It had many drawbacks.

As a result of intensive research to overcome the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, the present inventors have discovered that by dispersing and mixing an aqueous ionomer dispersion into an emulsion-type silicone surface treatment liquid, the blocking effect of the elastic body can be sufficiently improved and molding can be achieved. It has been found that this method does not impair the appearance of the product.

In addition, the particle size of the ionomer in the surface treatment liquid in the present invention is preferably a rectangular aqueous dispersion with a particle size of 0.5 μm or less, preferably 0.2 μm or less. If the particle size exceeds α5μ, the appearance of the molded product will be impaired and coating will not be uniform. Further, the concentration of the ionomer is preferably 0.1 to 5 parts by weight, preferably 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight. If it is less than 0.1 part by weight, the anti-blocking effect of the molded product will be significantly reduced, and 5
.. If the amount exceeds 0 parts by weight, uniform application will not be possible, resulting in poor appearance.

As a result of observation, no blocking was observed in the vulcanized rubber pieces treated with the surface treatment liquid of the present invention, and they remained in good condition and had excellent sliding properties. However, out of 100 vulcanized rubber pieces treated with a conventional surface treatment solution, blocking occurred throughout the entire area, and an average of 90 pieces had a high degree of blocking, which was difficult to remove.
