According to conventional means, when transporting these items, in most cases they are handled as long rolls of fixed quantities, so-called coils. In special cases, submarine cables are transported by using the hold of a submarine cable installation ship as a cable tank, and using a jib crane or the like from land to wind the cable into the cable tank and load it into a coil. However, in the former case, there is a quantitative limit to one lot depending on the means of transport, and in the latter case, large-scale land equipment is required to ensure smooth loading. Therefore, there were many problems in efficiently transporting a large amount of ultra-long flexible bodies all at once.

The present invention was created in consideration of the current situation,
Instead of pre-winding ultra-long flexible bodies such as electric wires into small coils and making them into small transport lots, large amounts of electric wires, etc. can be directly loaded and transported in their original state, and these items can be transported quickly. Moreover, the purpose is to propose an economical means of transportation, in which the ultra-long flexible bodies to be loaded are sequentially unrolled and loaded onto the barge, and the barge is moved around the center point of the loading space of the barge as the axis. The ultra-long flexible bodies are wound around the central part and stacked in the loading space, and once the barge is fully loaded, it is escorted to the destination as it is for mass transportation. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for loading an ultra-long flexible body using such a method, in which the barge itself rotates on the water surface and winds the ultra-long flexible body while guiding it to the loading space. The aim is to provide a circular barge that can

Next, an example of the implementation of the present invention will be explained in detail. For example, when transporting a flexible and extremely long item such as a submarine electric cable by sea, the case is such that the item is pre-formed to a required length or as appropriate. Regardless of whether the length is one lot of windings and the required length is extremely long, it is an extremely long roll that has an extension that is impossible to handle as a normal long roll. The flexible body collects this before the quay. Then, a circular barge is berthed to the quay, and the ultra-long flexible body is rolled into a circular barge using a device such as a pinch roll or an opposing endless track type that does not cause damage to the ultra-long flexible body. The barge should be fed out one after another.

That is, as shown in FIG. 1 or FIG. 2, a circular barge 2 is rotatably moored to the sea surface 4 in front of the quay 3, and a feeding device and a shifter (both not shown) are used to move the barge 2 from the gathering point of the quay 3. The ultra-long flexible body 1 is fed into the circular barge 2 at a substantially constant feeding speed.

This embodiment deals with loading onto a circular barge from a quay, but in another embodiment, when ultra-long flexible bodies loaded on a ship are loaded onto a circular barge, a rotating circular barge is placed on the side of the ship. Cargo handling similar to that at the quay is also possible by providing an adapter such as this.

The ultra-long flexible body 1 is moved from the quay 3 to this circular barge 2.
At the same time, while synchronizing with the feeding speed, the circular barge 2 is rotated by an appropriate means at the sea level 4 mooring point, and is sequentially wound into the donut-shaped loading space 11 to create a loading space. It is possible to load the ultra-long flexible body 1 on the circular barge 2 without creating wasted space in the barge 11 and having a significant extension without causing an end in the middle.

Next, when the entire amount of ultra-long flexible bodies or a predetermined amount of ultra-long flexible bodies have been loaded onto the circular barge, the circular barge 2 is towed by a tugboat or the like to reach the destination location. The body can be transported rationally.

As shown in FIG. 3, the circular barge 2 for safely and rationally transporting ultra-long flexible bodies has a lower half as a ballast tank 15 and an upper half as a central part. A pump room 12 is equipped with a water injection pump for ballast and cable transportation, and a donut-shaped loading space 11 surrounds the pump room 12. Then, an appropriate amount of ballast water is injected into the ballast tank using a pump provided in the pump room 12 to maintain stable water levels corresponding to various loading conditions in the loading space 11.

In addition, the circular barge is designed to meet the requirements of the characteristics of ultra-long flexible bodies, transportation volume, shipping conditions, etc., and has optimal specifications such as required hull dimensions, water intake, and the position of the loading space above the water line. It may be adopted in a timely manner.

As mentioned above, when a circular barge is being towed by a tugboat or a work vessel, pitching,
In order to prevent rolling and yawing, improve the course following ability of the circular barge, and enable stable towing, as shown in Figs. It is connected to the circular barge 2 by a coupler 17 at a rear position in the towing direction via a member 16, and if necessary, an appropriate wave-breaking mechanism (not shown) is attached to the forward or upper surface of the circular barge 2 in the towing direction. By towing the vessel in the direction of the arrow shown in Fig. 5 with the vessel equipped with the following equipment, safe navigation at economic speed can be carried out. In addition, it goes without saying that it is possible to tow not only one circular barge but also multiple barges in sequence within the range permitted by the water area or the navigation regulations. As shown in the figure, the rectifying fluid can be propelled as a pusher 18, and a plurality of circular barges 2 can be transported in series via a retainer 19 having an intermediate rectifying function.

According to a series of means of the present invention, in shipping an ultra-long flexible body, the ultra-long flexible body is divided into several parts and wound around a reel, as is conventional practice. This may lead to a reduction in transportation density due to the loss of loading space, such as having to be reconnected when loading and using a cable tank, or requiring a special crane in addition to forming the hold into a cable tank. It is possible to solve all the problems that were unavoidable such as cumulative losses, and it is possible to easily carry ultra-long flexible bodies in the loading space of circular barges, which are inexpensive to construct, and to save space. It is possible to load cargo without wasting time and safely and efficiently transport it to the destination.Furthermore, circular barges can be brought alongside each other at two points, such as rotating cylinders, or the ballast tank and loading space can be connected to each other. An advantage of circular barge shipping is that unloading as well as loading can be done extremely smoothly by interposing an air bearing between the vessels and making the upper half containing the loading space rotatable.
