However, weather and sea conditions may suddenly change between the time the ship berths, cargo handling work, and the time the ship leaves the berth, making it impossible to carry out the work. Either the ship and its cargo must be stopped and the ship and its cargo left in an unstable condition, or the ship must be evacuated to another port, which may result in damage to the cargo due to cargo collapse or delays in cargo handling operations due to evacuation. There were times when I did something like that. In addition, even during normal cargo handling operations, if the cargo is large and heavy, such as steel materials or steel structures, if the cargo is loaded from one side to the next, there is a risk that the ship will tilt and the cargo may collapse, so please take this into account when carrying out work. was extremely inefficient.

As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, as a cargo handling method for loading and unloading a ship, a cargo handling ship is brought into a work ship fixed to the seabed with its deck lowered and docked. It is positioned on the deck of the work boat, and by raising the work boat, the cargo handling boat is placed on the bottom of the work boat and is held there while loading and unloading, so there is no need to worry about weather or sea conditions during cargo handling operations. Even if the situation suddenly changes, the cargo handling vessel is firmly held by the work vessel and can continue its work, so there is no need to evacuate the cargo handling vessel offshore or to another port, and there is no need to delay cargo handling or evacuate. This eliminates the danger of fuel consumption and waste of fuel.
In addition, since the cargo handling vessel is always firmly held in a horizontal position, the cargo does not collapse due to the movement of the vessel, and even if the cargo is large and heavy such as steel structures, it can be handled from one side in order, increasing work efficiency. improves. Also,
Since work ships are not affected by weather or sea conditions, they can also be used as temporary storage sites for cargo handling ships.
