In this way, by synchronizing the display data and the reading side using the synchronization signal, the display data can be read without error. However, with inexpensive digital measuring instruments or scales that do not have a synchronizing signal, when reading the digital data displayed on these devices, the timing on the display side and the reading side are not synchronized, so the data on the display side is in the process of changing. may also be read by the reader. When a reader reads a display that is in the process of changing, for example, when the displayed data changes from "〓" to "〓", the reader reads a character that is not a character like "〓", or reads another character. I judge that. As a result, it becomes difficult to distinguish whether there is really an abnormality in the display data or a problem with the reading timing.

と次の如くなる。 FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing one embodiment of the apparatus of the present invention. In the figure, DIS indicates an indicator of the object to be measured, such as a digital measuring instrument. V.C.
is a video camera that uses a solid-state image sensor as a display reading device, and this video camera scans and images the display device DIS and outputs a video signal. SC is a signal processing unit that binarizes the video signal, and ME is a memory that stores the output of the signal processing unit SC. CON is the control unit, and the signal processing unit SC
In addition to controlling the address specification and data read timing when storing the output of the memory ME, it also performs various other controls. RM is a refresh memory that stores character information to be displayed on the cathode ray tube, CC is a controller that displays the contents of the refresh memory RM on the cathode ray tube, and CRT is the cathode ray tube mentioned above.
Displays the data read after receiving the output from the controller CC. The operation of the apparatus of the present invention having such a configuration will be explained as follows using the timing chart shown in FIG.

なる。 As shown by A in FIG. 2, the display device DIS of the object to be measured displays the same digital data during the period T, with the period T serving as one display period. period
At the end of T 1 and the next period T 2 , the indicator DIS displays new data. Therefore, the period T 1 and
The boundaries between T 2 , T 2 and T 3 , . . . each serve as a substitute for display data. On the other hand, on the reading device side, a video camera VC scans the display device DIS of the object to be measured, and reads the brightness of each segment of display data for each digit. video camera VC
In this embodiment, it takes 33 μsec to read data for one screen. Video camera VC is 1
If the time required to read the screen worth of data is taken as one frame, the display device DIS
Assume that the relationship of each frame to the display time T is as shown in FIG. 2B because the display side and the reading side are not synchronized. In Figure 2 B,
1, 2, 3, . . . indicate frame numbers. The video signal for one screen read in each frame is converted into a binary signal by the signal processing circuit SC and stored in the memory ME. memory ME
The data stored in is read out by addressing by the control unit CON and transferred to the control unit CON. The control unit CON considers one frame of the signal sent from the video camera VC as one data unit, and in this data, the brightness of the part corresponding to each segment of the display DIS is significant (for example, if it is an LED, it lights up) , and determines the meaning of the characters displayed in each of the seven segments for each digit. As mentioned above, if the display side and the reading side are not synchronized, the read frames "6" and "12" at the transition times of the display periods T 1 , T 2 , and T 3 shown in FIG. In some parts, the reader end up reading incorrect data. As a result, whether there is really an abnormality in the data,
It becomes difficult to tell whether it is a reading timing problem or not.

CCによりCRTに表示できる形に変換される。 Therefore, in the present invention, the newest frame signal is always stored in the memory ME for one frame period, and the control unit CON compares this frame signal with the next frame signal. If there is a change in the signals of both frames, the signal of the frame in which the change occurred is canceled as data in a transition period. Therefore, the data of frames "5", "6", "11", and "12" in FIG. 2B are canceled. If the data of the previous and subsequent frames are the same, that data is transferred from the control unit CON to the refresh memory RM as true data. The transferred data is sent to the CRT controller
CC converts it into a format that can be displayed on a CRT.

A reading device that can confirm the abnormality can be obtained.
