Conventionally, in order to improve each of these specifications, for example, in order to improve ground contact in a sedan-type passenger car, horizontal wings were attached to the top of the trunk at the rear of the car body, and the airflow generated when the passenger car was running was applied to the horizontal wings. It has been proposed that the rear part of the passenger car be pressed against the roof, or that vertical wings be formed on the sides of the roof in the width direction to suppress the sway of the car body.

However, such a configuration has the disadvantage that special performance-enhancing components are required, which increases the economic burden on the driver.

By the way, the roofs of passenger cars are generally flat, except for sedan models and similar models, excluding fairly long ones such as wagons and panel vans. Although the wagon type and panel van type cars are also beaded, they are formed almost flat.

This has the disadvantage that the height of the door provided on the side panel of the vehicle body is limited by the position of the roof panel.

In extreme cases, this drawback occurs when boarding and disembarking passengers.
This means that the occupant has to bend his or her body so as to lower his or her head, which causes pain when getting on and off the vehicle.

As shown in FIG. 2, this airflow control unit 1A 1 is
The roof panel 1A 10 fixed to the roof side rail 2 is formed into a protruding shape by lifting upward at both sides in the width direction, and the width from the both sides toward the center in the roof width direction is the front part of the roof. In contrast, the rear part is expanded (see Fig. 1), and its protrusion height is gradually increased from the front to the rear of the roof, with the rear being the highest.

In FIG. 2, a trim 3 is attached to the joining piece between the roof panel 1A 10 and the roof side rail 2, and a cushion material 4 that also serves as a weather strip is attached to the outer step of the roof panel 1A 10 . It is fixed.

As described above, the airflow control unit 1 is located at both corners in the width direction.
As shown in FIG. 3, the roof panel 1A 10 formed with A 1 is bent and formed in a raised state, so that the roof panel 1A 10 has a roof side where the inner panel of the door 5 enters from the flat roof part. The distance h to the joint with rail 2 (see Figure 3 A) is different from that of the conventional one.
It is smaller than h 1 (see Figure 3B).

Therefore, since the vertical height of the inner panel of the door 5 can be increased, the height of the entrance/exit provided in the side of the vehicle body can also be set high.

On the other hand, the airflow control section 1A1 has a large pressure receiving area for the airflow generated when the vehicle moves due to its set shape, so it is used as an air spoiler section that prevents the generation of lift at the rear of the vehicle and improves ground contact. (Effects) According to the present invention, the rigidity of the roof itself can be increased by providing an airflow control section with roof panels protruding from both corners of the roof. By increasing the height, the area where the entrance/exit is formed can be made even higher than in conventional vehicle bodies, which prevents passengers from hitting the upper edge of the entrance/exit with their heads when getting on or off the vehicle. Furthermore, the ground contact of the car body can be improved, and the sloped surface of the airflow control section allows raindrops that collect on the roof to flow away from the sloped surface while driving, instead of dripping onto the sides of the car body. Since it scatters laterally, it is possible to obtain effects such as eliminating the need for a special drip molding.
