本考案は新規椅子張り用表皮材に関する。 従来より、触感が冷たくざつくりとしており、
通気性が良好で涼感的外観を有し、夏期用に特に
適した椅子張り用表皮材としては藤椅子等が知ら
れている。 本考案者等は編物を用いて夏期用に特に適した
椅子張り用表皮材を開発すべく鋭意検討した結
果、通気性、凹凸性、涼感的外観に優れると共に
モミ強度にも優れた実用性の高い新規椅子張り用
表皮材の開発に成功した。 本考案に係る椅子張り用表皮材は、200〜2000
デニール(26.6〜2.7番手)の糸により編成され
たローゲージシングルラツセル編物からなり、開
孔率0.1以上、通気度100c.c./cm2/sec以上、凹凸
性10μm以上の性能を用し、且つ裏面に樹脂が含
浸された構成を有する。 本考案のシングルラツセル編地用の編機はロー
ゲージ、具体的には16ゲージ以下の編機であり、
特に10ゲージ以下の編機が好ましい。 本考案の表皮材を構成する糸は、ポリエステ
ル、ナイロン、アクリル、レーヨン、アセテー
ト、綿、麻等の合成繊維、半合成繊維、再生繊維
もしくは天然繊維の長繊維または短繊維のいずれ
から構成されていてもよく、また一種から構成さ
れていても二種以上から構成されていてもよい。
太さは200〜2000デニール(26.6〜2.7番手)の範
囲のものが用いられる。 かかる極太の糸から編成されたローゲージシン
グルラツセル編物の裏面に含浸(浸透)させる樹
脂としては裏面の交絡点における糸および繊維間
隙に浸透して糸同志の交絡性を補強しうるもので
あれば本質的にはいずれでもよく、例えば、ポリ
エチレン、ポリアクリル酸エステル、ポリウレタ
ン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリプロピレンおよびゴム
系の樹脂等が用いられる。 以下、図面に基づいて本考案を説明する。 第1図は、本考案のローゲージシングルラツセ
ル編物の一実施例の組織図であり、第2図はロー
ゲージシングルラツセル編物表面の拡大図であ
り、第3図は、ローゲージシングルラツセル編物
裏面の拡大図であり、第4図は、本考案の椅子張
り用表皮材の断面図である。 図示したローゲージシングルラツセル編物は次
のような条件で編成したものである。

動車等の乗物や劇場等の家屋内で用いられる椅子
用の表皮材として顕著な実用価値を有する。 尚、モミ強度は、JISL−1079B法(スコツト形
法)にて測定し、通気度は、JISL−1079(フラン
ジール形試験機)にて測定した。 凹凸性は、表面粗さ試験機KES−F4(加藤鉄工
所(株))にて、接触子を10g荷圧し、移動距離2cm
における往復の表面粗さの平均偏差で表わしたも
のであり、開孔率とは、表皮材表面の全面積に対
する糸空間b部の面積の比率を光投影により測定
した。
