Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent both a tire from slipping and a road surface from being damaged by normally and reversely rotating a motor controlling a switch, provided in a driver's seat, and protruding and retracting plural spikes in the external surface of the tire through plural hydraulic cylinders. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 18, provided in a driver's seat, is turned on, a device, allowing an electric current to flow in an electric wire 4, rotates a gear 6 by actuating a motor 5. Then the device, moving a piston rod 7 extruding oil in a master hydraulic cylinder 8, supplies this oil to many subhydraulic cylinders 11 through a main hose 9 and many branch hoses 10. As the result, the device, protruding each spike 14 built in each subhydraulic cylinder 11 from the respective external surface of a tire 1, enables brake performance or the like to be enhanced for an icing and snowing road surface. While the device, retracting each spike 14 into the external surface of the tire 1 because the motor 5 reverses when a separate switch 19 is turned off, enables the pavement surface to be prevented from being damaged.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is a device that uses spiked tires, but when there is no snow or ice, the spikes can be removed and the vehicle can run on regular tires.

Conventional spiked tires cause severe damage to road surfaces other than when there is snow and ice, and cause a large amount of dust pollution, so spiked tires that are effective only on snowy and icy roads are needed.

When the switch 18 is turned on, a current flows through the wire 4, and when the motor 5 rotates the gear 6,
The oil in the hydraulic cylinder 8 is pushed out by the piston rod. Then, the pressure is transmitted from the main hose 9 to the branch hose 10, and the hydraulic cylinder 11 with a built-in spike is compressed, and the spike 14 shown in FIG. 4 is pushed out to the outer surface of the tire.

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the hydraulic cylinder with built-in spikes of No. 11, but, contrary to FIG. 3, it is in a state where it has become a spiked tire.

When the switch 18 in Fig. 2 is turned on, the hydraulic cylinder 8 is compressed, the force is transmitted from the main hose 9 to the 100 branch hose, and the hydraulic cylinder 13 is compressed.
Fourteen spikes are pushed to the outside of the tire. At the same time, the 15 spike stabilizers are simultaneously pushed out by the 16 spike stabilizers and extrusion rods directly connected to the 13 hydraulic cylinders, so that the spikes can withstand the weight and pressure of the automobile.

When the switch 19 is turned off, the motor 5 rotates in reverse and the hydraulic cylinder 8 is pulled out by the piston rod 7, the pressure in the hydraulic cylinder 13 decreases, and the spike stabilizer push rod 16 is pulled out. Then, 1
Due to the force of spring 7, the spike stabilizer 15 returns to its original position, as shown in Figure 3. In other words, the state of the ordinary tire shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 is reached.
