Therefore, there is a problem in that stroke fluctuations caused by one wheel are transmitted to the other wheel, resulting in a lack of steering stability of the vehicle.

問題点があった。On the other hand, in the past, in addition to the above-mentioned swing arm type suspension system, the rear two wheels were also suspended using independent suspension systems such as the so-called double wishbone type. However, although this type of independent suspension system improves steering stability, it is unable to ensure a large rocking stroke for the rear wheels, and as a result, the running performance on rough terrain is significantly affected. There was a problem that the performance decreased significantly.

Each is independently supported by As shown in FIG. 3, which is a right side view of FIG. With a double wishbone type suspension, each rear wheel 11 is supported via a drive shaft 16 by a knuckle arm 15 supported at the tips of upper and lower arms 13 and 14. Further, the cushion unit 17 of the double link suspension 12 is connected to the lower arm 14 and the vehicle body frame 3.

However, since each rear wheel 11 swings independently due to the double-link suspension 12, the stroke change due to the swing of one rear wheel will be caused by the change in the stroke of the other rear wheel I\.
It will not be transmitted. Furthermore, when driving on rough terrain with large undulations on the road surface 30, the swing stroke of the rear wheel 11 is absorbed by the double link suspension 12 and the swing arm 5, so the swing of the rear wheel 11 relative to the body frame 3 is absorbed. This ensures a large dynamic stroke. In addition, according to the rear wheel suspension system 1 described above, j! of the rear wheel 11! Since the rear axle shaft 18 also swings relative to the ribs, the swing angle of the propeller shaft 25 (FIG. 3) can be reduced relative to the swing stroke of the rear wheel 11.

When the displacement of the road surface 30 is transmitted through the shoe control unit 17, the displacement of the road surface 30 is not directly transmitted to the vehicle body frame 3, but is transmitted through the swing arm 5, which improves the behavior of the vehicle body frame 3 with respect to the road surface 30. Changes will be reduced.

A large rocking stroke of the rear wheels is ensured while eliminating interference, and therefore the steering stability and rough terrain running performance of the rear two-wheeled vehicle can be improved. In addition, as the rear axle shaft that drives the rear wheel also swings relative to the swing of the rear wheel, the swing angle of the propeller shaft used in double-link suspensions becomes a small value. It is possible to use a universal joint with a simple structure in place of the normally used constant velocity joint as a joint for connecting the two, and therefore the suspension system can be provided at a low cost. In addition, by changing the length of the swing arm and the arm length of the double-link suspension, the degree of freedom in setting the suspension has been greatly improved. equipment can be provided.
