A method of obtaining a deodorizing substance from the raw material by collecting the substance or performing both extraction treatment and steam distillation treatment (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-404278)
is proposed. In addition, raw materials selected from sage, rosemary, extracts obtained by extracting these with polar solvents/or non-polar solvents, and their extraction residues are subjected to solvent extraction treatment and the extracts are collected. , followed by decolorizing with an adsorbent to obtain a deodorizing substance, or the extract is subjected to both decolorizing with an adsorbent and steam distillation, and the residue is collected. 57-203445) has also been proposed.

Moreover, although it is effective against odor sources such as sulfur compounds such as methyl mercaptan, it is not effective against ammonia odor, amine odor, acid odor, etc. The present invention has been made in view of the current state of technology, and has a strong deodorizing effect on methyl mercaptan, and is also effective against various malodorous components such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. The purpose of this invention is to develop a broad-spectrum and powerful deodorant that also exhibits deodorizing action. Furthermore, the mechanism of the present invention is fundamentally different from that of conventional products that use strong fragrance as the main ingredient and simply mask bad odors. The aim is to develop a safe deodorant that does not cause pollution.

Extraction is preferably done cold or at room temperature. When heated, some of the components that have a deodorizing effect are extracted into hydrocarbons, so it must be avoided. Petroleum ether, n-pentane, n-hexane, n-hebutane, etc. are used as the paraffinic hydrocarbon, but n-hexane is economically preferred.

You can feel the scent. This extract (hereinafter abbreviated as extract A) can be used as it is as an active ingredient of a deodorant, but it can be concentrated if necessary. Extract A (isopropyl ether extract) is extracted with a ketone solvent. Acetone is economically preferable as the ketone solvent. Removal of acetone from the extract yields a greenish-brown solid engraving. It was found that the active ingredients in this product were about twice as concentrated as in Extract A, and the solubility in organic solvents was significantly increased.

After cooling, it is filtered, and the n-hexane extraction insoluble portion is extracted with isopropyl ether 50Q at 70°C for 24 hours. After cooling, it was filtered, and isopropyl ether was recovered from the filtrate to obtain 150 g of pale yellow powder. (Extract A) Extract Al00g with acetone 112 at 30°C for 10 hours. After cooling, the mixture was filtered and acetone was distilled off to obtain 45 g of the active ingredient as a greenish brown powder. (Extract B) 810g of extract 10
When column chromatographic purification was performed using 0 g of silica gel, 3 g of pale yellow powder was obtained from the eluate of ethyl acetate:n-hexane=1:1. There was almost no strange odor, just a faint forest scent.
