In various manufacturing machines equipped with a reproducing display device for reproducing and displaying output data, the storage device repeatedly stores a prescribed cycle, and when an abnormality occurs, stops storing the input/output signals at the time of the abnormality occurrence. The reproducing and displaying device is configured to be able to reproduce and display the input/output data for each of the operating steps, and this is used as a means for solving the above problem.

The input/output data obtained is reproduced and displayed on a suitable display device such as a CRT or a liquid crystal display device. Therefore, it is possible to accurately investigate the cause of the abnormality without having to perform a reproduction operation again as in the conventional case, and furthermore, the effort and time required to investigate the cause are reduced.
