【考案の詳細な説明】 北海道等の寒冷地においては、水道管は凍結深
度以下の地中に埋設されている。地上の温度が如
何に低下しても、凍結深度以下の地中では、水は
凍結しないからである。しかし水道管に連結した
分岐管は各戸に導かれており、水道水を一定時間
使用しないで放置していると、各戸の分岐管内の
水が凍結することがある。そこで昼間長時間外出
する時や就寝時に分岐管内の水を地中に放出する
必要が生じ、水抜栓が考案された。水抜栓1は第
1図に示すごとく、水道管2に取付ける水道管取
付部3と分岐管取付部4、排出部5を有し、分岐
管6は一端は分岐管取付部4に接続し、他端は水
平管7に接続し、水平管7は蛇口8に接続してい
る。通常は蛇口8を開閉して水道水を使用する
が、就寝時等には、水抜栓1のハンドル9を操作
して水抜栓1の下部にある弁を開閉して、分岐管
6、水平管7内の水を排出部5から地中に放出す

口に至らない。水平管12、立上り管11内の水
は流出口19から、排出口20に導かれ、排水管
14から地中に放出される。以上は公知の水抜栓
と同様である。
