【考案の詳細な説明】 北海道等の寒冷地においては、水道管内の水が
凍結することが多い。これに対する対策として就
寝前に管内の水を抜いて地中に排出する水抜栓が
考案され、現在では大多数の家庭で使用されてい
る現状である。ところが給湯設備の増加に伴い鳥
居型の配管が行われるようになり、この結果凍結
が起るようになつた。鳥居型配管とは第1図に示
すように、給水管1が排水弁2を有する水抜栓3
に接続し、水抜栓3に接続する立上り管4、水平
管5、立下り管6を経て水栓7に至るもので、水
平管5の位置が水栓7よりも高い位置に構成され
ているものである。就寝時に排水しようとする場
合は水抜栓3のハンドルPを操作し、水栓7を開
放すると、水平管5および立上り管4内の水は排
水弁2から地中に排出され、また水平管5および
立下り管6内の水は水栓7から排水されるのであ
るが、管内の圧力が大気圧よりも小となると排水
が充分に行われず、凍結の原因となることがあつ
た。この問題を解決するために管のどこかに吸気
弁を取付けたり、カランを逆さに取付ける等の方
法により管内の負圧状態を解消するようになつ
た。しかしながら吸気弁については一長一短であ
り、吸気弁の構造の中にスプリングを有するもの
が、スプリングの摩耗により作動不良を起し、か
えつて凍結を招くこともあつた。本考案は上記の
点を解決した吸気弁を堤供することを目的とす
る。
