一般家庭における配管は第1図に示すように、凍
結深度以下の地中にある水道管1が排水弁2を有
する水抜栓3に接続し、水抜栓3に接続する立上
り管4、水平管5を経て水栓6に至るものであ
る。更に2階に配管する時は、水平管5に立上り
管7を接続し、水平管8、水栓9に導かれ、2階
にも給水される。10は吸気弁であり、11は立
上り管7に設けた屋内止水栓である。屋内止水栓
11は2階の居住者が長期不在の場合とか、2階
の居住者が常時昼間不在の場合とかに2階への給
水を断つためのものである。就寝時に排水しよう
とするときは、水抜栓3のハンドルを燥作して排
水を行わせるが屋内止水栓11、水栓9を開放し
なければ完全な排水が行われないのである。しか
し水抜栓3の位置と屋内水栓11、水栓9の位置
が大低離れた箇所にあるため、この作業は億却で
あつた。また排水後水栓9を閉じる必要がありこ
れまた億却であつた。その結果一部の作業を省略
したため凍結を招くことがあつたのである。その
ため上記欠点を排除したものが同一出願人による
実願昭58−088389号であつた。

栓11、水栓9を開放しなくとも排水を行うこと
がでくきる効果がある。また、排水の際にスピン
ドル12の雄ねじ13と雌ねじ15の間、及びス
ピンドル12とパツキン31の間に入つている水
はスピンドル12の雄ねじ13の縦溝32から横
穴20を通り、さらにスピンドル12の下部に設
けてある縦穴19を通つて弁21から排水され
る。
