所定隙間をあけて挿入したので、従来のような尾管を着
脱自在に支持するための中板との隙間は不要になり、各
膨張室内の気密性を確保でき、排気ガスの漏れを確実に
防止して消音機能を確保できる効果ある。

Claims (1)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] (1)内燃機関にその前端が接続される排気管と、該排
気管の後端に接続されたマフラ本体とからなり、排気ガ
スを消音しつつ大気に排出する内燃機関の排気装置にお
いて、上記マフラ本体を、前端が上記排気管に接続され
、後端部に取付フランジが気密に溶接された外筒と、該
外筒内に所定空間をあけて挿入され、かつ上記取付フラ
ンジに着脱自在に取り付けられ、両端に前、後端板が気
密に溶接された内筒とから構成し、該内筒を前半部と後
半部とに分割するとともに、該内筒を上記前半部に気密
に溶接された中板によって複数の膨張室に画成し、上記
外筒と内筒の第1膨張室とを結合管で連通するとともに
、該結合管を上記前端板及び中板に気密に溶接し、内筒
の最終膨張室と前段の膨張室とを外管で連通するととも
に、該外管を上記中板に気密に溶接し、該外管内に内筒
の最終膨張室と大気とを連通する尾管を所定隙間をあけ
て挿入するとともに、該尾管を上記内筒の後端板に気密
に溶接したことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。
