り、排気ガスを消音しつつ大気に排出する内燃機関の排
気装置において、上記マフラ本体を、前端が上記排気管
に接続され、後端部に取付フランジが気密に溶接された
外筒と、該外筒内に所定空間をあけて挿入され、かつ上
記取付フランジに着脱自在に取り付けられ、両端に前,
後端板が気密に溶接された内筒とから構成し、該内筒を
前半部と後半部とに分割するとともに、該内筒を上記前
半部に気密に溶接された中板によって複数の膨張室に画
成し、上記外筒と内筒の第1膨張室とを結合管で連通す
るとともに、該結合管を上記前端板及び中板に気密に溶
接し、内筒の最終膨張室と前段の膨張室とを外管で連通
するとともに、該外管を上記中板に気密に溶接し、該外
管内に内筒の最終膨張室と大気とを連通する尾管を所定
隙間をあけて挿入するとともに、該尾管を上記内筒の後
端板に気密に溶接したことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気
装置。
