Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent slippage of a tire and any damage to a road surface from occurring, by installing a flexible pin in a crest part on a ground plane of the tire, and making this pin retractable from the tire ground plane by a specific spatula according to road conditions. CONSTITUTION:A flexible pin 1 of U-shaped form or the like is set up in a crest part 3 on a tire ground plane. And, there are arranged with the spatula A fitted with a convex tip part 6 and a bladelike double side part 7 and another spatula B fitted with a concave tip part 8 and a presser part 9. And, at the time of driving on a frozen road or the like, the tip part 6 of the spatula A is pressed to the crest part 3 of the tire and the pin 1 is dipped up by means of remore control of a driver, while the pin 1 is pressed closswise by the double side part 7, locking it to the groove 4 installed in the crest part 3 of the tire. With this operation, the pin 1 is projected out of the tire ground plane, making it stand erect, thus tire slippage is prevented from occurring. On the other hand, at the time of driving on a normal dry road, the pin 1 is pulled down by the opening 8 of the spatula B.

FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 show the simplest embodiment of the present invention, and are views of the tire contact patch viewed from the surface.
The U-shaped or T-shaped retractable pin 1 or 2 incorporated into the tire crest 3 is shown in an upright state. Retractable pin 1

(E) Function First, when driving on a dry road surface, the U-shaped or T-shaped retractable pin is laid down in the valley of the tire as shown in FIG. 5 or 6. Next, when driving on a snowy or icy road, the tip of a spatula A shown in FIG. 7 provided in the vehicle is pressed against the tire valley by remote control by the driver to rotate the tire once or twice. The tip portion 6 scoops up the pin, and the wing portions 7 projecting on both sides push the pin further sideways to fix it in the groove 4 of FIG. 5 or FIG. 6 provided on the mountain of the tire. The cut 5 in FIG. 6 is also useful for removing foreign matter that has entered the groove. In this way, the retractable pin becomes in the upright state shown in FIG. 3 or 4, making it possible to drive on snowy or icy roads.

On the other hand, when the road becomes dry, the driver presses the spatula B shown in FIG. 8 provided on the vehicle against the tire by remote control, causing the tire to rotate once or twice. The opening 8 at the tip pulls down the pin to the center, and the presser part 9 pulls the pin sideways down into the valley of the tire. In this way, the retractable pin can be
The vehicle is in the sideways state shown in the figure, and does not scrape the road surface even when driving on dry roads.

(f) Effects of the Invention As can be seen from the above description, the present invention allows the same tire to run on dry roads and icy roads, and on dry roads, spike pins do not scrape the road surface unlike in the past.
This not only has the effect of preventing dust pollution, but also allows the driver to change tire performance while riding the vehicle.
