Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 電極付の基板間にネジレネマチツク液晶層
    を挾持し、該ネジレネマチツク液晶層を複数層設
    け、その両面に夫々偏光膜を配置した液晶表示装
    置において、少なくとも２層の液晶層がほぼ同一
    の表示パターンとされるとともに、該表示パター
    ンのセグメントの巾が該液晶層の距離の０．１〜
    １０倍とされ、かつそれらが同時に駆動されるこ
    とを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 (2) ２層の液晶層とされ、夫々の液晶層で配向
    処理方向がほぼ直交方向にされ、かつ両面の偏光
    膜の偏光軸がほぼ直交するように配置されている
    実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の液晶表示装
    置。 (3) 少なくとも一方の液晶層の水平配向層の少
    なくとも一方の面を凹凸面とし、その凹部と凸部
    の高さの差を平均１〜２０μｍとし、隣接する凹
    部間のピツチを平均１０〜３００μｍとした実用
    新案登録請求の範囲第１項または第２項記載の液
    晶表示装置。
