Generally, when a van-type vehicle has a rear seat in the luggage compartment behind the driver's seat and loads a large amount of luggage, the rear seats are folded to convert the rear seat space into a luggage compartment, and the luggage compartment can be loaded. A van-type automobile for both cargo and passenger use is known, which does not interfere with wholesale handling, and which can be easily restored to secure a seat when the passenger uses the seat.

In the past, the only heating device in the passenger van was a heater located in the center of the dashboard. This resulted in uneven temperature distribution in the cabin, and the hot air from the heater did not reach the rear seats sufficiently, resulting in a poor heating feeling in the rear seats. This is because, if the rear seats were fixed, a rear heater could be installed on the floor below the rear seats, but in the case of the passenger van, which has a folding rear seat, a rear heater cannot be installed because the seats would remain on the floor when folded, which would affect the ease of loading and unloading luggage.

Therefore, this idea was developed for van-type vehicles that are used for both cargo and passenger purposes. In order to expand the loading area, the floor of the luggage compartment is placed at a higher position than the rear wheel house to form a flat floor, making it easier to get on and off the floor. Focusing on the fact that the boarding and alighting steps are one step lower than the floor at the boarding and alighting entrances, the rear heater is installed with the rear heater directly exposed on the boarding and alighting steps, so that it does not affect the ease of loading and unloading cargo. This system is designed to effectively send warm air to the passenger's feet, improving the heating feeling in the rear seats.

In Figures 1 to 7, 1 is the body of a van-type vehicle with an entrance 2 opened on the side wall, 3 is a sliding door that opens and closes the entrance 2 of the vehicle body 1; Move back and forth. Reference numeral 4 denotes a luggage compartment for both cargo and passenger use, located behind the driver's seat 5, and a foldable rear seat 6 is provided corresponding to the entrance/exit 2. The floor 7 of the luggage compartment 4 is located at a higher position than the rear wheel house (not shown) and is formed as a flat floor so that the loading area can be expanded. A step 8 for getting on and off is provided, which is formed lower than the other step so that getting on and off can be carried out easily. In the rear seat 6, the lower end of the front legs 10 fixed to the front part of the seat cushion 9 is rotatably attached to the floor 7 of the luggage compartment 4, and a seat back 11 and rear legs 12 are attached to the rear of the seat cushion 9.
When loading a large number of items into the luggage compartment 4, the seat bag 11 is folded toward the seat cushion 9, and the seat cushion 9 and seat bag 11 are attached to the front legs 10.
By rotating forward about the pivot point between the lower end and the floor 7 and further folding the rear legs 12, the rear legs 12 are moved approximately vertically to a position immediately behind the driver's seat 5, as shown by the dashed line in FIG. It can be stored in a shape. Reference numeral 13 denotes a shielding plate provided at the lower part of the rear seat 6, which has a height H approximately corresponding to the gap width H' between the lower part of the seat cushion 9 of the rear seat 6 and the floor 7 of the luggage compartment 4, and , has a substantially rectangular shape with a width l approximately corresponding to the interior length l' in the vehicle width direction at the rear seat portion, and has one end attached to the lower surface of the seat cushion 9, for example, a hinge-shaped part 13'.
Since it is rotatably attached using the rear seat 6, even if the rear seat 6 is folded, it can be rotated upwards so that it overlaps the seat cushion 9 with one end as the center, and the other end can be fixed using an appropriate method such as a metal fitting. If the shield plate 13 is engaged with the lower surface of the seat cushion 9, it will not interfere with the loading and unloading work of cargo. The shield plate 13 may be made of iron plate, rubber plate, cloth, vinyl, etc., as long as it blocks the passage of wind. . Reference numeral 14 designates a warm air type rear heater installed on the ingress/egress step 8 on which the rear seat 6 can be seated and the feet placed. The heater core 16, electric blower 17, etc. are built into a housing 15 whose upper surface is a foot surface. The air outlet 1 provided in the upper part of one side of the housing 15
8 is opened at an appropriate position within the luggage compartment 4, that is, at a position where warm air is blown out toward the feet of the occupant in the rear seat 6.

As explained above, in the above-mentioned van type vehicle for both cargo and passenger use of this invention, the rear heater 14 is directly exposed and installed at the boarding/exiting step 8, so that even when the rear seat 6 is folded, the rear heater 14 is used to handle loading and unloading of luggage. Not only does it not get in the way, but it also minimizes the reduction in the effective area of the step for getting on and off, so it does not interfere with getting on and off. In addition, since the air outlet is opened toward the center of the vehicle at the upper side of the rear heater, the fluidity of the warm air is improved and the warm air is effectively sent to the feet of rear passengers, reducing the heating feeling of the rear seats. It can be further improved.
