Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the function of parts which need to be cooled due to heat by installing a partition board on the side of a shelf part which is formed on a food ledge panel and on which the parts are equipped, and thereby defining a housing for the parts on the side of an engine room. CONSTITUTION:A partition board 12 is installed on the side of a shelf part 9 which is formed on a food ledge panel 1 and on which the parts which need to be cooled such as a battery 10, an air cleaner 11 and the like are equipped. The lower, fore and rear ends of the board 12 are respectively connected to a front side member 4, a radiator core support 7 and a strut tower 6 and furthermore, the upper end thereof is extended in the neighborhood of an engine hood at a height about the same with a radiator core support 2, so that a housing part 13 for the parts is defined on the side of an engine room E.R. In addition in the housing part 13, the opening 16 of a head lamp part 2a of the radiator core support 2 which forms the front wall of the housing part 13 is formed wider than usual as an opening for a fresh air inlet.

Conventional technology Fig. 2 shows the general structure of an automobile engine room. At the bottom of the hood ledge panel 1, there is a strength member in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body extending between the radiator core support 2 and the dash panel 3. A strut tower 6 is installed approximately in the center of the front wheel house 5, which is joined to the front side member 4 and is also bulged on the hood ledge panel 1.
is erected, and a front suspension strut (not shown) is connected to and supported by this strut tower 6. Further, a fan 8 is disposed on the back of the radiator 7 attached to the radiator core support 2.
This allows outside air to be actively introduced to cool the radiator tough. In front engine - 70 front drive ('F?・F) type cars where the engine is placed horizontally, the axis of rotation of the engine and the axis of rotation of the fan 8 are orthogonal, and the rotational power of the engine is transferred to the fan. Since the fan 8 cannot be extracted as 80 rotational power, a motor-driven fan 8 is used. Further, since the exhaust manifold approaches one side of the radiator tough due to the above-described engine arrangement, the 7-ring 8 is unevenly distributed on the other side of the radiator tough to avoid interference with the exhaust manifold. On the other hand, a shelf section 9 is formed in front of the strut tower 6 of the hood ledge panel 5, and various functional parts in the engine room are arranged on this shelf section 9 in order to make effective use of it. On the shelf 9 on the side where the fan 8 is unevenly distributed, there is a battery 10. An air cleaner 11 is provided. This similar structure is, for example, issued by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in October 1958, Service Bulletin 4.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention The fan 8 is connected to the battery 10. If KIM is present on the air cleaner 11 side, the high temperature air that has passed through the radiator 7 will be transferred to these batteries 10. Since it hits the air cleaner 11, there is a risk that the temperature of the battery 1o will rise and its lifespan will be shortened, or the temperature of the air cleaner 11 will rise and the filling efficiency of air sent to the engine will be reduced. The same thing can be said if the temperature inside the engine room increases even if the high-temperature air is not blown onto it.

Measures to solve the problem: At the side of the shelf formed in the hood ledge panel, the lower end is joined to the front side member, the front end is joined to the radiator core support, and the rear end is joined to the strut tower. At the same time, a partition plate is provided whose upper end extends to the vicinity of the engine hood, and a storage area for the parts that require cooling among the functional parts in the engine room is separated on the side of the engine room. An outside air intake port is formed to take outside air into the storage section.

Here, the fan 8 is unevenly distributed on one side of the shelf section 9, for example, on one side of the radiator 7 as in this embodiment, and this 77
A partition plate 12 is provided on the side of the shelf 9 on which the batteries 10 and the air cleaner 11 are disposed on the side where the air cleaners 8 are unevenly distributed. This partition plate 12 has its lower end 7-joined to a front side member 4 joined along its lower edge to the inside of the dredge panel 1, and its front end to the radiator core support 7 and its rear end. are connected to the strut towers 6, and their upper ends extend to the vicinity of the engine hood (not shown) at about the height of the radiator core support 2, and are connected to the engine room (E-R). A storage section 13 for the above-mentioned cooling-required components 10.11 is separately formed on the side. The partition plate 12 is provided with the minimum notch 14 necessary for pulling out the air duct lla of the air cleaner 11 and the battery 100 cables not shown in the drawing, and the engine room (E
It is separated from the crotch area of -R). Also, the outer side wall of the storage section 13 is 11tJlil! Hood ledge panel 1
In addition, an opening 15 is formed in the side surface of the storage part 13, and an opening 16 of the headlamp mounting part 2a of the radiator core support 2, which constitutes the front side wall of the storage part 13, is formed as an outside air intake port and is set larger than the normal opening area. Thus, a gap sufficient to introduce outside air is formed between the headlamp housing and the headlamp housing (not shown).

According to the structure of the above embodiment, even if the fan 8 is unevenly distributed on the side of the shelf 9 where the battery 10° air cleaner 11 is disposed, the high temperature air introduced by the fan 8 and passed through the radiator 7 is removed from the partition plate. 12, these batteries 1
0. The air cleaner 11 will not be hit by air.
Because it is separated from the crotch part of the engine room (g-R), even if the inside of the crotch part of the engine room (g-R) becomes high temperature, the storage part 13
You can avoid getting too hot inside. In addition, when driving, the opening 1 of the headlamp mounting part 2a is opened by the ram pressure.
Outside air is actively introduced into the storage section 13 from between the 6 portions φ, and the air inside the storage m13 is discharged from the opening 15 on the side of the hood ledge panel 1, so that outside air does not circulate inside the storage section 13. Since the condition is good, components that require cooling such as the battery 1G and the air cleaner 11 can be actively cooled.
