自動車灯具のリフレクタにカシメて取付け、ソ
ケツトを係止して灯具の光源部を形成するように
したソケツトホルダーがある。この種のソケツト
ホルダーは、第1図に示すように円筒形の本体a
の端部にリフレクタbへの取付用カシメ部cが形
成され、かつ本体aの側壁にはソケツト(図示せ
ず)係止用のJスロツトdが切欠き形成された構
造を呈している。この場合、Jスロツトdは通常
3箇所設けられ、しかも本体aの端縁から切欠き
により形成されるため、強度の関係上ソケツトホ
ルダー本体aの素材の板厚を薄くできない欠点が
ある。また、これに伴なつて本体aと一体形成さ
れるカシメ部cもかなり厚くなり、カシメ作業時
に強い圧締力を必要とし、作業がしにくいばかり
でなく、リフレクタbが合成樹脂製である場合に
は、リフレクタを傷付け又は変形させる不都合が
生じる。このような不都合を防止するために、第
1図ロに示すようにカシメリングeを本体a′とは
別体に形成し、このカシメリングeを用いて合成
樹脂製のリフレクタに取付けることが行われてい
るが、取付作業が厄介となり、またコスト高とな
る欠点がある。

ト孔2に係止することにより、バルブ5及びソケ
ツト6を取付けられるようになつている。ソケツ
ト6の内部にはコイルスプリング7を介して端子
板8が装着され、この端子板はリード線9と電気
的に接続されており、コイルスプリング7により
前方に付勢された端子板8がバルブ5を押圧して
保持すると共に、バルブへの通電を図り、かつコ
イルスプリング7の作用によつてソケツト6を後
方に付勢することによりソケツト6を保持できる
ようにしてある。なお10はソケツトカバーであ
り、ソケツトホルダーの前記フランジ1aに嵌め
て取付けてある。

ツトの挿入係止を容易にかつ確実になすことがで
きる。さらに、ソケツトカバーの縁に従来の如く
切欠きが存在しないので、取付作業時の怪我を未
然に防止することができ、またソケツトカバーの
製作におけるメツキ作業時に互いに引掛らないの
で作業性が良好で、変形も防止できる等の利点が
ある。
