れるシフトレバーと、該シフトレバーの操作によ
り設定されたレンジに応じて上記伝達経路切換え
手段を作動させて上記動力伝達経路を切換え、変
速を行なわせる変速制御手段とを有してなる自動
変速機において、 エンジンの作動を検出するエンジン作動検出手
段、運転席に運転者が居るか否かを検出する運転
者検出手段および上記変速制御手段により切換え
設定された上記動力伝達経路がニユートラルか否
かを検出するニユートラル検出手段を有し、エン
ジン作動検出手段によりエンジンの作動が検出さ
れ、ニユートラル検出手段により上記動力伝達経
路がニユートラル以外の経路に設定されているこ
とが検出され、且つ運転者検出手段により運転席
に運転者が不在であることが検出されたときには
、上記歯車式変速機構による伝達トルクを低下さ
せるクリープ防止手段を作動させ、上記トルクコ
ンバータから車輪に伝達されるトルクを低下させ
車両のクリープを防止するようにしたことを特徴
とする自動変速機のクリープ防止装置。 (2) 上記クリープ防止手段が、上記変速制御手
