力軸とを連結するロツクアツプクラツチと動力遮
断用クラツチとを介装してなり、変速操作レバー
位置検出手段から出力されるレバー位置検出信号
に基づいて前記トランスミツシヨンのギヤシフト
動作と前記ロツクアツプクラツチ及び動力遮断用
クラツチの断接動作とを自動的に行う制御手段を
備えた車両の自動変速装置において、トランスミ
ツシヨンのニユートラル位置を検出するニユート
ラル位置検出手段と、車速検出手段と、前記両検
出手段の検出信号に基づきトランスミツシヨンが
ニユートラル位置でなく且つ車速が所定値以下の
ときにエンジンのアイドル回転を高めるアイドル
回転制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とする車両の
