Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an economical pattern transfer material which does not require a complicated operation for matching the shape of a hot plate to a pattern and does not spoil the beauty of the surroundings, by providing a releasable layer on a plastic film base, providing a vapor-deposited metallic layer or a colored layer comprising a pigment or the like thereon, providing the second releasable layer thereon, and providing an arbitrary pattern of an adhesive layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:A releasable layer 2 is provided, by printing or applying a wax, a silicone or the like, on the entire surface of one side of a base 1 consisting of a film of a polyester, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or the like. The layer 2 is a transparent or colored translucent layer. A vapor-deposited metallic layer or colored layer 3 comprising a pigment, a color ink or the like is provided on the entire surface or a part of the releasable layer 2. The second releasable layer 4 is provided on the entire surface of the colored layer 3, and an adhesive layer 5 in a desired pattern is provided on the layer 4. When a pattern transfer material thus obtained is pressed against the surface of an object 6 by a hot plate or a heated roll, only the part provided with the adhesive layer (namely, only the pattern part) is transferred onto the object 6.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a means for forming predetermined characters or designs on the surface of a plastic case constituting the outer casing of a radio receiver, tape recorder, etc., polyester or agglomerated vinyl resin has been used, as shown in Fig. 3, for example. A transfer material is used in which a release layer 2, a colored layer 3 such as pigment or ink, and an adhesive layer 4 are sequentially applied or adhered to one side of a film base 1 such as, etc., and an arbitrary pattern is formed in a convex shape. A so-called hot stamping method is known in which a pattern is formed on a transferred object by pressing the plate 7 against the transfer material. As another conventional example, as shown in FIG. 4, a release layer 2 is applied to the entire surface of one side of a film base material 1, and a pattern consisting of colorants 3 and 3' is printed on the release layer 2. Using a pattern transfer material on which adhesive 4 is applied or adhered over the entire surface, a flat hot plate or heating roll (not shown) is pressed onto the pattern transfer material to transfer the pattern onto the transferred object 6. A method of transferring is known.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the former method of pattern formation using conventional transfer materials, it is necessary to make the heating plate on which the pattern is transferred into a convex shape that matches the pattern, and it is difficult to create a pattern with a complicated shape. In addition, when pressed with a hot plate, the foil on the outer periphery of the design was not cut and the appearance was impaired. Since the entire area including the pattern is transferred, the adhesive layer and release layer are also transferred to areas without the pattern, resulting in a difference in gloss between the areas that are not transferred and the aesthetic appearance. Lose. Further, it requires a large transfer area and requires a large transfer machine, making it uneconomical.

Function: By using the pattern transfer material according to the present invention, the adhesive layer, the second peeling layer, and the colored layer in the pattern area can be removed by pressing with a hot plate or heating roll having an area approximately equal to the required pattern area. In addition, the release layer is transferred to the transferred object, and the precision of the boundary between the pattern part transferred to the transferred object and the other part is extremely good, and the shape of the hot plate can be easily created and the transfer machine can be made smaller. .

Examples Examples of the present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawings. In Fig. 1, 1 is a base material made of a film of polyester, polypropylene, vinyl chloride, etc. One surface of the base material 1 is coated with wax or A release layer 2 is formed by printing or applying silicon or the like. This release layer 2 is a transparent or colored semi-transparent layer. On this peeling layer 2, a colored layer 3 made of a metal vapor deposition layer or pigment 9 colored ink is provided on the entire surface or part of the peeling layer 2.

The release layer 2 is made of a material that is highly releasable from the base material 1 and has good bonding properties with the colored layer 3.A second release layer 4 is provided over the entire surface of the colored layer 3. The second peeling layer 4 has a high bonding property with the colored layer 3 and the adhesive layer 5, and has a high bonding property with the colored layer 3 and the adhesive layer 5. is a material with good releasability. If the pattern transfer material configured as above is pressed onto the surface of the object to be transferred with a hot plate or heating roll, only the part with the adhesive layer, that is, the pattern part, will be covered. It will be transferred to the transcript.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the pattern transfer material according to the present invention is able to remove the adhesive layer, second release layer, and coloring of the pattern area by pressing with a hot plate or heating roll having an area approximately equal to the required pattern area. The layer as well as the release layer will be transferred to the object. Although the parts other than the partial pick pattern parts without adhesive are also pressed by the hot plate or heating roll, these parts are not transferred to the object by the second peeling layer. Therefore, the linkage of the pattern transferred to the transferred object is clear, and the pattern is not pressed by the hot plate or heating roll on the same plane as the part of the transferred object other than the pattern pressed by the hot plate or heating roll. Since there is no aesthetic difference between the parts and the fabric of the transferred object, it is only necessary to press only the pattern area with a hot plate or heating roll on the same plane of the transferred object, so the area of the pattern transfer material can be small. Furthermore, the transfer machine can be made smaller and is economically superior.
