Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve display quality by dispersing seal material with which coloring matter is mixed on a display surface as spacers. CONSTITUTION:Black coloring matter is mixed with the seal material which adheres two glass substrates together and said seal material is dispersed on the display surface outside a turn-on display part to hold the gap between the two glass substrates uniform. Namely, black coloring matter is mixed with the seal material and printed on the glass substrates. In this case, the printing is not limited to the place where liquid crystal illuminates for display. Those printed glass substrates 1 are combined and a liquid crystal material 4 is injected into the gap, which is sealed. A negative transmission type display is improved in appearance because the seal material with which the coloring matter is mixed is dispersed on the display surface.

ル材、3はスペーサ、4は液晶材料である。このように
2板のガラス基板1の挟間に所望する大きさのスペーサ
3を入れて挟間を均一を保つ方法がとられてきた。
