In recent years, it has become common practice to decorate the surface of solid sugar with colorful patterns, and it is used as more than just a seasoning, it is also used as a gift.

A widely used method for creating this pattern is to cream powdered sugar mixed with pigments using egg whites, and apply this cream (usually called icing) to the surface of solid sugar through a nozzle. It is squeezed out and hardened to form a desired shape (for example, flowers or letters).

Therefore, it has the advantage of being able to mold a pattern with a three-dimensional effect, but on the other hand, it is time-consuming to manufacture and has the disadvantage that detailed patterns cannot be molded.

In order to improve this workability, a desired shape is punched out on a board made of acrylic or the like, a predetermined part of the board is applied to the surface of the solid sugar, and the cream is embedded in the punched hole to attach the desired shape to the solid sugar. A method was thought of.

Although this method had some promise in terms of workability, it was not possible to form fine shapes, and some of the cream remained on the periphery of the punched hole after only a few uses. and hardened,
There were drawbacks such as not being able to obtain a clear shape and requiring time and effort to maintain.

The present invention relates to an edible paint developed to eliminate the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, inconveniences, and dissatisfaction, and is used in the technique of applying patterns to solid sugar by silk screen printing.

以下本発明の一実施例を説明する。 An embodiment of the present invention will be described below.

First of all, the common method of silk screen printing is
The desired pattern is attached to the object by applying a silk screen with a desired pattern onto the object, pouring ink and printing with a squeegee.

The printing means of the present invention is basically the same as the above-mentioned means, but since ordinary ink cannot of course be used for food products, the special edible paint of the present invention is used.

Regarding the distribution of the ingredients, for example, when powdered sugar is 200g for a small amount of food coloring, the amount of egg white is about 30g, and the amount of starch powder is about 5 times that of the above-mentioned mixture of powdered sugar, egg white, etc.

As the starch powder, according to experimental examples, very good results were obtained using cornstarch, which is a starch powder of corn, but if the mesh is fine, potato starch may be used, and other materials may also be considered.

Among the above ingredients, powdered sugar is used to preserve the flavor of sugar and to promote drying and hardening. Also, egg white strengthens the bond between powdered sugar and starch powder, and also enhances the bond between powdered sugar and starch powder. This is to improve adhesion.

A small amount of water, egg whites, and food coloring are sufficient for moisture, and excessive moisture can actually cause the pattern to disperse because the solid sugar itself has good moisture permeability.

The reason why starch powder was used was to obtain the same tackiness, and also to prevent clogging of the silk screen by paying attention to its slow drying properties. This can also be achieved by making it sufficiently detailed.

Although the slow drying properties of starch powder and the dry hardening properties of powdered sugar are contradictory, quick drying properties are rather required after printing.

As is clear from the above explanation, the edible paint used for silk screen printing on solid sugar of the present invention is revolutionary in that it can first be silk screen printed on solid sugar, and it allows for fine mesh printing. Because it is mixed with starch powder, it dries slowly and does not clog the silk screen, and because it is water-based, it adheres to solid sugar reliably and does not spread, allowing you to obtain clear patterns. It has excellent workability, enables large-volume printing in a short time, and has simple ingredients and is easy to manufacture.
It has many excellent effects.
