This type of device has been used in Japanese Patent Publications No. 58-140890 and No. 15.
There are those shown in the figure. In the device shown in FIG. 15, for example, when paper sheets are to be ejected from the device 40 through the entrance 46, the sheets are taken out one by one from the cassettes 41 and 42 in which the sheets are stored. Belt 4 one sheet of paper at a time

However, in the above configuration, among the components such as the cassettes 41 and 42, the check section 45 and the entrance/exit port 46, the sheet conveying path is connected between the elements through which sheets are delivered by the belt 43. A large number of rollers 44 must be fixedly provided in advance, which increases the cost of the conveyance path. 1. Since the conveyance path is fixedly provided, it is difficult to change the conveyance path when changing specifications or expanding functions, and if the conveyance path is changed, it takes time and effort to adjust the operation of the conveyance path. Furthermore, there is a problem in that it takes time to transport a large number of paper sheets one by one.

The transport mechanism section includes a holding section 6 and a driving means 4a for moving the holding section up and down. As shown in FIG. 3, the holding portion 6 has upper and lower finger portions 6a and 6b that can be opened and closed. The stacks 10 and 1F of the inspection section 2 have a notch 12 in which the banknotes are placed on a partially cut out surface as shown in FIG. By pushing in and opening/closing, the center of the banknote 5.5' can be reliably moved from the banknote, or the banknote moved from the safe can be placed on the placement surface. The transport mechanism section can move the holding section 6 up and down and back and forth as well as open and close using a small motor. Below the inspection section 2, a control section 16 and a power source 17 are installed in parallel with the safe 3. The unit 15 controls the movement of each component by having a memory that stores the operation sequences of each of the above-mentioned parts and a microcomputer (both not shown) that reads and executes the operation sequences.

At a position where the finger portion 6b is retreated by a number of 1 from 6a, and the finger portion 6a
The space between the tips of and 6 is opened to the extent of the grinding thickness plus the number of bills required for payment, and the bill enters from the direction of the arrow to the top of the 10,000 yen bills 5 accumulated in the bill storage section 3. And finger part 6
The tip of b stops before it comes into contact with the side surface (end surface) of the ten thousand yen note 5, and then descends in the direction of the arrow until the finger part 6a maintains the relative position of the finger parts 6a and 6b, and the finger part 6a touches the ten thousand yen note 5. Stop at the position where you press the top lightly. Next, only the finger portion 6b is inserted into the side surface of the stacked ten thousand yen notes 5 in the direction of the arrow, and the required number of banknotes 5 is held by applying pressure so that the interval between the finger portions 6a and 6b is narrowed.
