In recent years, resin side moldings with an isosceles trapezoidal cross section have become larger, and in order to reduce their weight and prevent them from falling off, they are shown in Figures 1 and 2 instead of solid polyvinyl chloride resin moldings. A structure in which a sponge 20 made of vinyl chloride resin is arranged inside a hollow molding body 10 made of hard vinyl chloride resin is adopted. However, when molding the end of such a structure, simply cutting it out, as in the case of end molding of a solid molding, would expose the sponge surface to the outside, which is not aesthetically pleasing. It was necessary to bond the separate end pieces 30 or to simultaneously mold them with hard vinyl chloride resin. As a result, these construction methods had the problem of high mold costs.
