Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate flashes generated on the external appearance and make corner section look attractive by leaving that section out of a trim section which reaches a position crossing a dividing line when it is set in a mold, and cutting out other section at the time of cutting the corner section of a seal section of an extrusion molding weather strip, and then setting it in the mold for molding the other section. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 1 is an extrusion molded product and provided with a trim section 11 of U-shaped section constituted of solid rubber and a hollow seal section 12 constituted of sponge rubber. A cored bar 13, flexible and deformable, is buried in the trim section 11. When a corner section is molded, first, part 120 on the trim side is left and the corner section of the seal section 12 is cut out. Then, the trim section 11 is flexed at the seal section cutting section and set in a mold 4. The height of the part 120 on the trim side, not cut nor trimmed, is provided with the width to make said height higher than a dividing line 42 at the time of heating the same in the mold 4. Sponge rubber is injected from a sprue 41 of the mold 4 into a seal section molding cavity. After cooling the same, the mold is opened and the corner section is formed.

12を備えた押出成形品である。

部の型成形コーナ部分12aを形成している。

コーナ部分を所定の形状に屈曲させて金型にセットし、
シール部の切除された個所にシール部形成材料を注入し
て成形することを特徴とする自動車用ウェザストリップ
のコーナ成形方法。
