In a slurry cargo transport ship, cargo is loaded into the hold by slurry transport. The slurry is then separated from the cargo on board and returned to the pound on the ground by a pump on the transport ship, where it is used again to transport the slurry. By the way, although the above-mentioned slurry water is removed by using an overflow or a wire mesh filter, it cannot be completely removed because the cargo is small granular solids (for example, powdered coal). It may damage the pump installed in the middle.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Reference numeral 1 denotes a solid matter separator installed in the middle of the slurry water transport pipe 2 and upstream of the pump 3, and a separation chamber 6 is provided in the upper cylinder 5 of the separator main body (hereinafter simply referred to as the main body) 4. A storage chamber 8 communicating with the separation chamber 6 is formed in the lower box body 7. An inflow pipe 9 and an outflow pipe 10 for slurry water are connected to the cylinder 5 at positions 180° symmetrical to each other, with the outflow pipe 10 located above the inflow pipe 9. Therefore, the slurry water a flows from the bottom to the top in the separation chamber 6 as shown by arrow A. 11 is a filter for separating solids (for example, powdered coal) made of a wire mesh or the like inserted into the cylinder 5, that is, the separation chamber 6;
Although it covers at least the outflow pipe connection opening 5a, the inflow pipe connection opening 5b and the communication opening 5 with the storage chamber 8
It is made not to cover c. Reference numeral 12 denotes a reinforcing and supporting member for each opening edge of the filter 11, and the filter 11 can be replaced by removing a lid 13 attached to the upper end of the cylindrical body 5. Reference numeral 14 denotes a solid object storage body having an opening 14a corresponding to the communication opening 5c of the cylindrical body 5 on its upper surface, and is made of wire mesh or the like. The storage body 14 has an opening 7 provided at one end of the box body 7.
A plurality of wheels 16 are provided at the bottom of the storage body 14 so that the storage body 14 can be moved in and out from the bottom of the storage chamber 8, and can be moved on a pair of guide rails 15 installed on the lower surface of the storage chamber 8. There is. Further, the storage body 14 is configured such that one side thereof can be opened and closed so that solid matter can be easily discharged. 17 is box body 7
It is a hinge type opening/closing door that can freely open and close an opening 7a on one side, and its closed position is fixed by a hinge type bolt 18 and a wing nut 19 provided around the door. Reference numeral 20 denotes a conical rubber guide provided hanging down from the reinforcing and supporting member 12 of the lower opening of the filter 11 into the opening 14a of the storage body 14, and guides the solids that have flowed into the separation chamber 6 into the storage body 14. This is to guide you. Note that the main body 4 has the storage body 14
Sensing means (not shown) are provided for detecting when the container is full of solids.

According to the above configuration, when the slurry water is returned from the hold to the pond on the ground, the slurry water a flows into the separation chamber 6 in the solids separator main body 4 through the inflow pipe 9 and from the outflow pipe 10 as shown by the arrow A. I'm leaving, but
Only the solid matter is separated by the filter 11 into the separation chamber 6.
At the same time, the water remains in the container 14 and falls into the storage body 14, and only water flows to the pump 3 provided on the downstream side. When the storage body 14 is full of solids, the opening/closing door 17 of the box body 7 is opened in the direction of arrow B, and the storage body 14 is taken out from the main body 4 in the direction of arrow C, and the solids are discharged at a predetermined location. , just return the storage body 14 into the main body 4 again. Note that the storage body 14 is usually quite large, but for example, 1
If this is not enough, use the slurry water transport pipe 2.
A plurality of them may be provided in parallel.

As described above, according to the solid matter separator of the present invention, since the outflow pipe is installed at a higher position than the inflow pipe, solid matter can be effectively separated from slurry water. Since the pump is not damaged and the storage body for storing the solids is provided separately from the separation chamber, its storage capacity can be increased and its discharge is very easy.
