Base metals 2 are often welded together (numeral 3 indicates weld metal). This is because when laminate material 1 is welded together with base metal 2, the components of laminate material 1 mix with the components of base material 2 and weld metal 3, resulting in dilution of the components and a decrease in corrosion resistance. This is because the strength of the welded portion may be reduced.

It is difficult to apply this method to cutbacks after assembly into a container or the like.

る。1 and 2 are diagrams for explaining an example of the method of the present invention, in which a laser beam 1 is applied to the edge of the cladding material 6 from two directions.
3.14 was irradiated to cut out the edges of the laminated material 1. That is, the laser beam 13 is irradiated from the surface side of the laminate material 1, and the laser beam 14 is irradiated to the mating surface of the laminate material 1 and the base material 2. Note that the beam intensity and light source moving speed of the laser beam 13 are adjusted so that the laser beam 13 penetrates only the laminated material 1. Further, the laser beam 14 has a width W to be peeled off.
The beam intensity and light source movement speed are adjusted to ablate the same amount of depth. Note that it is also possible to adjust the penetration depth of the beams by tilting the beams 13,14.

Also, the cutback operation is extremely simple. The shape of the edge to be cut back may be a straight edge as shown in FIG. 4 or a curved edge as shown in FIG. 8.
