Prior art and its problems Scooter-type vehicles generally use forced air-cooled engines because the engine is located under the seat in the rear body and the front part of the body is covered with a front cover member. , there are very few known examples equipped with water-cooled engines. The reason for this is that the front of the engine is covered by the car body cover, and even if a radiator is placed behind the car body cover, sufficient running air cannot be obtained, so the cooling effect is insufficient. This is because there is no space to place a radiator.

The motorcycle 1 is configured as described above,
When the vehicle is running, running wind is introduced into the duct 17 through the air intake opening 14a and the air intake louver 14 attached thereto, and the running wind guided by the duct 17 concentrates on the radiator 30, reducing the running wind pressure and the radiator. The air passes through between the heat radiation fins of the radiator 30 due to the intake action of the cooling fan 31, radiates heat, passes through the lower chamber 10B, and enters the exhaust port 16a and attached thereto as shown by arrow A in FIG. The exhaust gas is discharged outward in the vehicle width direction through the exhaust louvers 16. Both side surfaces of the front cover 11 from which the flap 15 is protruded are inclined so as to expand toward the rear of the vehicle body, and the traveling airflow B along the both sides has a high flow velocity, and the rear side of the flap 15 is depressurized due to the bench lily effect. Therefore, in combination with the airflow shielding effect of the flap 15, the exhaust from the exhaust louver 16 is extremely smooth.

In this way, the intake opening 14a and the radiator 3
0 through a duct 17, and
Since flaps 15 are provided protruding from both sides of the front cover 11 and an exhaust louver 16 is attached to the exhaust port 16a, the heat dissipation from the radiator 30 can be promoted by making full use of the wind pressure when the vehicle is running. Forced cooling of water-cooled engines connected by pipes can be efficiently performed.

In addition, since the rear of the front cover member 10 is in a depressurized state while driving, if the exhaust valve 21 is opened, the warm air in the lower chamber 10B is smoothly discharged to the low-floor footrest 4 side, and the heater is heated during the cold season. It can be effectively used as Therefore, it is effective to configure the exhaust valve 21 so that the exhaust direction can be changed or adjusted upward, downward, leftward, or rightward.

Further, when the vehicle is stopped with the engine running, no wind is obtained while the vehicle is running, but as the cooling fan 31 rotates, outside air is introduced into the radiator 30 through the intake louver 14 and through the exhaust louver 16. Warm air is exhausted.

The reason why the radiator 30 is arranged in a forward-slanted position is because the ventilation guide plates 14b of the air intake louver 14 are attached in a forward-slanted position, and the traveling wind passing between the ventilation guide plates 14b is radiator 3
It approaches at a nearly right angle to the front surface of 0. However, the radiator 30 does not necessarily need to be arranged in a forward-inclined manner, and a sufficient cooling effect can be obtained even if it is arranged in a vertical position.

Further, a partition wall 1 is provided inside the front cover member 10.
The reason why the radiator 30 is divided into an upper chamber 10A and a lower chamber 10B is to protect the electrical components installed in the upper chamber 10A from hot air.
This is to improve the ventilation efficiency of the air that has passed through.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, in the present invention, a front cover member that covers the front part of the vehicle body of a scooter type vehicle and defines an interior is disposed at the front part of the vehicle body, and the front wall of the front cover member A ventilation opening is formed in the side wall, and an exhaust port is formed in the side wall, and a radiator, a cooling fan adjacent to the radiator, and a duct that guides outside air taken in from the ventilation opening to the radiator are housed in the interior. Since the air intake opening, the radiator, and the exhaust port are provided at the same height level, the running wind is effectively guided to the radiator through the duct, and the flow velocity of the running airflow is high, so that the side wall of the front cover member is in a reduced pressure state. Warm air from the interior chamber is smoothly exhausted through the exhaust port opened outward. When the vehicle is stopped, warm air is discharged outward in the vehicle width direction from the exhaust port on the side wall of the front cover member, and this warm air is difficult to flow toward the passenger, causing discomfort to the passenger even in summer. There is no.

In addition, in this invention, the ventilation opening, the radiator, and the exhaust port on the side wall of the front cover member are provided at the same height level. It has the advantage that there is no need to use a long bent duct, and since the ventilation resistance is low, the amount of air taken into the interior room is large, and the heat radiator is effectively radiated.

Thus, according to the present invention, it is possible to effectively utilize the running airflow to promote heat dissipation from the radiator, and to efficiently cool the water-cooled engine located within the cover of the rear vehicle body.
