切替弁6に分岐管7が接続され、これら分岐管7は燃焼
室群の下方に位置するようにして地下室1内に配設され
ており、これら分岐管7には燃焼室群の各燃焼室に加熱
ガスを供給するための立ち上がり管(図示路)が接続さ
れている。このような構造により、ガス切替弁6の操作
により、一方の分岐管7に加熱ガスが供給されていると
きには他方の分岐管7に加熱ガスが供給されないように
して、燃焼室で燃焼が行なわれたり1行なわれなくなる
ようになされている。そして、燃焼が行なわれていない
燃焼室は燃焼が行なわれている燃焼室の排ガス通路とし
て利用されるようになされていて、コークス炉全体を均
