Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect a solar heat collecting pipe to a passage for a heat-transmitting medium easily by a method wherein a cover capable of being removably fitted to an opening end of the solar heat collecting pipe in a liquid-tight sealed condition is connected and fixed to tip parts of inlet and outlet branch pipes. CONSTITUTION:Valve bodies 12, 13 normally closed in a free condition are provided in the branch pipes 20, 21, one set of which is laterally provided on both or one side of the passage 17 for the heat-transmitting medium. On the outside of the valves 12, 13 is connected the cover 32 which has passage holes 30, 31 for the medium for each set of the pipes 20, 21. When the solar heat collecting pipe 2 is fitted into the cover 32 from the left, the peripheral part of the opening end of the pipe 2 is readily supported in the liquid-tight sealed condition through an O-ring 33 in the cover 32 opened at a side part of the header device 1. In this case, the collecting pipe 2 side and the header device 1 side are communicated to each other by valve-body pressing members 10, 11.
