The snow-making method for artificial ski resorts generally involves spraying high-pressure water in the form of a mist from a porous nozzle into the air at a temperature of 16°C or less, and freezing the water.

However, in this method, water releases latent heat when it freezes, so in order to maintain the required freezing temperature, it is necessary to send in at least as much cold energy as the latent heat.

Normally, at artificial ski resorts, snow is made at night after the ski resort closes, but when making snow, snow is made at the temperature during daytime operations (0 to +
It is necessary to lower the temperature from -6°C (cooling temperature set at 5°C) to a freezing temperature of around -6°C. Conventionally, the temperature of the entire ski resort was lowered to this freezing temperature, and then four or five snowmaking machines were driven slowly and sprayed water to repeatedly make snow in localized areas, thereby making snow for the entire ski resort. do. Therefore, in the conventional method, a large volume of space had to be maintained at a freezing temperature for a long period of time, and the efficiency of utilizing cold energy was low.

この発明は上記事情に鑑みなされたものである。This invention was made in view of the above circumstances.

This method of making snow for an artificial ski resort involves making water in the form of a spray in an atmosphere at a temperature at which the water freezes. The device is characterized by sending cold air into the space of the blocking device, which has an open space where the surrounding side surfaces and top surface are covered with blocking curtains and the bottom surface faces the ski resort roadbed.

In this method, snow is made by creating an atmosphere at freezing temperature in units of space volume covered by barrier curtains, so the efficiency of using cold energy is higher than when the entire ski resort is at freezing temperature, and cold energy is used by convection etc. It is possible to reduce the amount of waste that is dissipated.

In Figures 1 and 2, the ski resort has a spiral-shaped continuous roadbed. It has running rails 2, 2 arranged at upper positions along both side edges of the roadbed. To make snow at this ski resort, there is a roughly rectangular parallelepiped-shaped space within the ski resort that can be run on a traveling rail 2, whose surrounding sides and top surface are covered with a barrier curtain 3, and whose bottom surface is open toward the roadbed. 4 is arranged. Then, while keeping the temperature of the ski resort as it is, cold air of 16 degrees Celsius is sent 9 from the duct 6 into the space 4 of the isolation device 5, and at the same time, sprayed water 8 is sent from the self-propelled snow making machines 7, 7 in the space 4. It falls, freezes in the space 4, and accumulates on one surface of the roadbed to form snow. The snow-making machine 7 and the shutoff device 5 run at a constant speed and continue making snow. The duct 6 is movably attached to the upper surface of the device 5 via a bellows 9, and its position is moved at any time to ensure good contact between the cold air and the sprayed water. In addition, multiple shutoff devices will be installed if necessary.

The barrier curtain 3 covering the side surface of the barrier device 5 is bellows type and expands and contracts in the vertical direction, and can intercept the side surface by following the height and unevenness of the roadbed 1. Moreover, the blocking device 5 has a running frame 10.10 on the upper part, and wheels 11.11 and a drive motor 12 are mounted on both ends of the running frame 10.10.
A traveling device 13 is provided, and wheels 11.11 are mounted on and suspended from the rails 2 to allow the vehicle to travel along the rails. The device in this example has a width (") = 25 m, a length L)
= 30m height H) = 10m.

FIG. 3 shows an example of the mode of this shutoff device for traveling along a curved section. A small-diameter wheel rail 2' is arranged parallel to and outside the rail 2 on the inside of the curved portion.

Immediately before moving onto a curved section, the wheels 11 are placed on the rails 2 as shown in Fig. 4, but as the curved section approaches, the small diameter wheel rail 2' is gradually raised. As shown, the small diameter wheel 11' coaxially provided on the outside of the wheel 11 is transferred to the rail 2' and the vehicle travels. Therefore,
It can run even on curved sections with small curvature.

In FIG. 3, reference numeral 14 denotes a winch that raises and lowers the bellows-shaped barrier curtain 3.

This invention is as described above, and this snow-making method blows cold air into each space blocked off by a barrier curtain to make snow, so the entire large artificial ski resort is kept at around -6°C for a long period of time. The efficiency of cooling and heat utilization is higher than in the case of maintenance, and there is less loss due to convection, etc.
