本考案はメカニカルシールに関するもので、そ
の目的とするところはスラリーが軸パツキンと軸
との間に詰つてスラリーによる洩液が生じたり、
移動環の軸方向への移動が円滑に行なわれずシー
ル効果の低下が生ずることのないようスラリーの
除去ができるメカニカルシールを提供しようとす

常Oリング、Uリング、Vリング等が用いられ
る。12は移動環8と軸との摺動接触面、13は
移動環8と固定環4との接触面を示し、前記移動
環8が軸パツキン9を介して軸に嵌挿され、係合
片10を介して回転環6と共に回転し、スプリン
グ11により固定環4の方向へ常時押圧されて密
接触し接触面13に摺動しながら密接して完全に
シールされるようになつている。本考案の特徴と
するところは、前記移動環8において、移動環8
と軸2との摺動接触面12に軸パツキン9よりも
液側位置(回転環側)に周方向の溝14を形成
し、この溝14から外部に貫通する1つ以上の孔
