Abstract

PURPOSE:To decide an effective collection/delivery course of mails at a monitor center by displaying the presence or absence of mails on each floor and grasping the destination floor of each mail. CONSTITUTION:Mailboxes 1 are provided for each destination floor in a mail room of each floor within a mail center. When a mail is thrown in, a throw-in detector 3 works. Then the presence or absence of mails is detected at a control part 2-1 via a detecting part 2-4 of a TRC 2 and this information is stored in a memory 2-3. The information transmitted from the TRC 2 is sent to a monitor center 8 from a fixed station A via a transmission line 7 and then to a throw-in detecting part 11 via a receiving part 10. The part 11 detects only the information on the presence/absence of mails thrown in and analyzes the ID information on the mail box having the mail 'presence' information only for production of a list for mail throw-in situations. When the processing is through with the information on all mailboxes, a schedule part 12 decides the collection/delivery routes. Then the results of said deciding actions are delivered from a printer part 13.
